Lark Productions takes TV rights to ‘Still Mine’ trilogy; ‘Avengers’ star Cobie Smulders attached
Vancouver-based Lark Productions has acquired exclusive TV rights to author Amy Stuart’s best-selling novel Still Mine and its sequels Still Water and Still Here.
The project will be developed and produced by the NBCUniversal International Studios-backed Lark and led by a creative team including Avengers star Cobie Smulders, who will serve as executive producer.
Lara Azzopardo (The Bold Type) is attached to adapt the project for TV and also serve as showrunner and executive producer, with author Stuart to co-executive produce.
The book trilogy follows Clare O’Dey, who, in Still Mine, turns investigator to uncover the truth about the suspicious disappearance of a local woman in a small mining town, where everyone seems to be implicated. The sequels see her putting her newfound abilities to use once again to solve new disappearances.
Smulders said: “I am thrilled to partner with Lark Productions and Lara Azzopardi to create a new way for people to experience the world and characters brilliantly portrayed in Amy Stuart’s Still Mine series.”
“I’m excited to work with Lark Productions and bring Clare’s story to a wider audience on television,” commented Stuart.
Erin Haskett, president of Lark Productions, added: “There’s never been a better time to tell a story about a woman discovering her own power as she helps others, and we are thrilled to have such a strong female-led team working to bring this to television.”
