ViacomCBS ups Wincie Knight to oversee global inclusivity and diversity strategy
ViacomCBS has promoted Wincie Knight to VP of global inclusion strategy at ViacomCBS Networks International (VCNI).
Based in London, Knight will now report to Marva Smalls, ViacomCBS’ EVP of global inclusion and EVP of public affairs, kids and family entertainment brands at ViacomCBS Media Networks, and Maria Kyriacou, president of ViacomCBS Networks (VCN) UK, Australia and Israel.
In her new expanded role, Knight will join the UK cluster senior leadership team and oversee the development of strategic plans to continue building a culture of diversity and inclusion across VCNI. She will be responsible for leading a team and delivering diversity and inclusion objectives in the UK and Europe, Israel, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, working closely with the company’s senior leadership.
Knight joined Viacom in 1999 and was promoted to senior director of global inclusion strategy in 2014, going on to spearhead Viacom UK’s first ‘inclusion week’ in 2018; an initiative that was expanded to all of ViacomCBS’ offices in more than 30 countries the following year.
“Wincie has been a longtime asset to our Global Inclusion team, and her work has helped transform ViacomCBS’ international diversity and inclusion strategy,” said Smalls. “ViacomCBS is committed to championing a culture that’s diverse, equitable and inclusive, and that creates a sense of belonging for all employees.”
“It’s been an honor making ViacomCBS a more inclusive place to work over the years,” said Knight, “I’m thrilled for this opportunity and I look forward to the work we will continue to do in order to ensure authentic, meaningful inclusion across our business.”
