Distribution360 moves into scripted with inter-connected family show launch
Canada’s Distribution360 has moved into scripted distribution, with family series The Parker Andersons/Amelia Parker spearheading its latest kids and family slate.
The 20 x 30-minute concept series is presented as two inter-connected sitcoms, with The Parker Andersons segment focusing on widower Tony Parker and his move from the UK to Chicago, while Amelia Parker follows the perspective of his daughter.
The series is produced by Marblemedia and and Beachwood Canyon Productions, and was created by Frank van Keekan (The Next Step), while Antony Q. Farrell (The Office) serves as showrunner.
Distribution360 is also launching three new animated titles from Skyship Entertainment – Finny The Shark (12 x 11-minutes), Captain Monsterica And The Purple Protector (12 x 6-minutes) and Captain Seasalt And The ABC Pirates (26 x 4-minutes), as well as live-action edutainment series Caitie’s Classroom (26 x 22-minutes). GAPC Entertainment’s live-action series Where’s My Alphabet (26 x 2-minutes) and Polkaroo Counts (30 x 2-minutes) are also joining the slate.
In related news, the company has secured a deal with Roku for more than 500 episodes of Skyship titles from its existing catalogue, including Super Simple Songs, Mr Monkey, Monkey Mechanic and The Bumble Nums among others.
