Propagate brings ‘Project Cupid’ to US
US-based indie Propagate Content has acquired local rights to dating format Project Cupid from Belgian distribution company Be-Entertainment.
The format, which helps people with unique mental challenges find love, originally aired on Flemish channel VTM last year, with a second season already commissioned. John de Mol’s Talpa Network has also ordered a local Dutch series to air on SBS6.
Project Cupid is developed and produced by Belgium’s Roses are Blue, the creators behind the Down The Road and The Way Out formats.
The show sees two hosts open a temporary dating agency to help these unique daters find their perfect match. A special first date is designed to make them feel at ease and help them shine, while over the course of the following episodes the viewer finds out if the daters become actual couples.
