ABC Signature names CJENM exec to work on drama development

Disney-owned production division ABC Signature has hired an exec from South Korea’s CJENM to work across its scripted development.

Jiwon Park becomes VP of drama development and will work across the studio’s output for all platforms, according to US reports.

She was most recently VP of series development at the Korean firm’s US-based office, CJ ENM America, and its subsidiary Studio Dragon International, where she worked on TV and film IP.

Her credits include Oscar winner Parasite, as well as ITV Studios drama Snowpiercer. Park also worked on projects as part of CJENM’s partnership with Altered Carbon prodco Skydance Television.

South Korean media giant CJ ENM recently unveiled plans to invest more than ₩5tn ($4.5bn) in content creation over the next five years in a bid to expand its global presence.
