Israel’s Kan11 orders magical workplace sitcom
Israeli pubcaster Kan11 has commissioned a new scripted comedy series set in a bizarre department store, from Endemol Shine Israel.
The eight-part The Store That Has It All has been created by Uzi Weil and Shalom Gad, with Eitan Zur to direct. Banijay Rights will distribute the show internationally.
It follows the silly and heart-warming sales team, who occassionally sing, at the department store where anything can be found – from elephants and time machines to lost memories and the actual moon.
The Amir Ganor-led Endemol Shine Israel is behind scripted productions including Just For Today, Harem, Nevsu and Queens, which is currently in production on its second season.
“We are proud to work with the best talent in the business and it is brilliant to bring this wonderfully uplifting series to further build our successful partnership with our public broadcaster, Kan11,” said Ganor.
