Kaap Holland & Flip van der Kuil partner for comedy label

Dutch comedian Flip van der Kuil and producer Maarten Swart of local prodco Kaap Holland have teamed up to launch a new label, Dead Duck Productions.

Dead Duck is a subsidiary of Kaap Holland and will focus on the development and production of comedy series and films for a Dutch and international audience. Its first project is the web comedy Downtown, in co-production with Dutch pubcaster Bnnvara for NPO3 streamer NPO3.nl.

This latest partnership build upon the more than a decade long collaboration between van her Kuil and Kaap Holland on films and series including New Kids Turbo, Ron Goossens and Low-Budget Stuntman.

“With Dead Duck Productions we will create original and uncompromising comedy series and films, together with various comedy creators. We develop and produce projects with an absurd and abrasive humor that we think is exactly what is called for in these times”, said van der Kuil.

“Flip is one of the most talented and innovative comedy auteurs around, including internationally. As a showrunner he pushes the boundaries of comedy. We are excited to continue the collaboration between him and Kaap Holland under the label Dead Duck Productions,” added Swart.
