Paramount+ in Oz orders format quartet from Banijay & Warner Bros.

The Bridge

ViacomCBS has unveiled a raft of programming for its recently launched streamer Paramount+, including three show based on Banijay-owned formats and a Warner Bros. docuseries.

The streamer, which rebranded from 10 All Access in August, has ordered remaked of Hunted, The Bridge and Would I Lie To You, with all three being adapted locally by Endemol Shine Australia.

Hunted was originally created by Shine TV in the UK for Channel 4, while The Bridge was created by Zeppelin TV in Spain for Movistar’s #0. Would I Lie to You? is from UK label Zeppotron.

The trio were unveiled by Daniel Monaghan, SVP of content & programming at ViacomCBS Australia & New Zealand, at an event earlier this week and will become available on the streamer in 2022.

Also on the slate is Couples Therapy Australia, based on the format sold by ViacomCBS Global Distribution Group. It provides insights into therapy by following couples as they discuss personal issues with their counsellors.

Paramount+ in Oz offers around 20,000 TV episodes and movies from ViacomCBS brands including Paramount Pictures, Showtime, BET, CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon and Sony Pictures Television.

Its Australia originals include Northern Pictures’ comedy Spreadsheet, crime drama Last King Of The Cross, family dramedy Five Bedrooms and coming-of-age feature film 6 Festivals.
