Pro TV returns ‘Survivor’ to Romania
Romanian network Pro TV has commissioned a new series of reality competition format Survivor.
This latest iteration of the globally successful format, which is distributed by Banijay, will be produced by Acun Media, the company behind previous Romanian seasons of Survivor, as well as adaptations in Turkey, Greece and Mexico.Daniel Pavel will host the series.
The format, which first launched in 1997 in Sweden and is now produced in more than 40 territories, sees contestants forced to learn how to secure shelter, food, and water on their own when placed on an isolated island – while also trying to find the right strategies to stay in the competition.
“We are glad to announce that in 2022 we will add this amazing format to our portfolio of programs on Pro TV,” said Antonii Mangov, programming director. “Survivor is already an established and successful show in Romania, but we’ll add to it the signature Pro TV touch, which is a guarantee for highest quality reality and entertainment”.
