OCS turns up the heat with sci-fi original ‘Fahrenheit’
French pay-TV group OCS has ordered Fahrenheit, a new original sci-fi event series.
Produced by White Lion Films, part of the Mediawan Group, in partnership with Orange Studios, the 8 x 40-minute series is described as being based on an “infiltration concept, blending action and suspense at a breakneck pace.”
Created by Guillaume Lemans, Magali Rossitto and Mathieu Delozier, the series will be filmed in English and Spanish and is set in the near future, when temperatures have risen by several degrees all over the planet.
Small groups of hard-line eco-activists carry out destructive actions, attacks and targeted murders in an effort to save a world condemned by industry and ultra-capitalism.
Mateo, a young CIA recruit, is sent to Los Diablos, a Latin American megalopolis, to infiltrate one of these activist groups, the Mandrills, known for their members’ extreme youth and radicalism. His mission is to find their leader, Adam, a charismatic, dangerous man, wanted by police worldwide.
However, the inexperienced young agent will soon lose his bearings in this operation that turns out to be desperately dangerous.
“I am delighted that the historical partners of White Lion Films, Orange Studio and OCS Originals, once again trust us and commit to this ambitious project, a unique sci-fi TV series that has never been seen before in France with high international potential”, commented Noor Sadar, founder and producer of White Lion Films.
