All3’s Little Dot hires marketing exec as History Hit’s head of growth
All3Media’s Little Dot Studios has hired a marketing exec from digital restaurant platform Taster to lead its streaming service, History Hit.
Meagan Bickerstaff takes the newly created role of head of growth and is responsible for driving subscriptions, as well as managing the service. She reports into James Carson, GM of History Hit.
Bickerstaff was most recently head of growth at restaurant service Taster and before that founded marketing agency Inkwave. She has also worked in digital marketing during stints at Zenith, Sky, Carat UK and media agency network, OMD.
History Hit was co-founded by historian and broadcaster Dan Snow and CEO Justin Gayner in 2017, before being bought by Little Dot in 2020.
It offers original and acquired factual programming on its SVOD service, alongside podcasts and live events. Programming includes documentaries The Kingdom Of Benin, Hitler: The Rise To Power and Science In The Middle Ages.
Carson said: “2022 is set to be a year full of milestones for History Hit and this role is vital to securing more partners to join us on our journey whilst we continue to make the past more accessible in the digital age.”
