UK’s Nine Lives hires Transparent TV founder as co-creative director
UK production outfit Nine Lives Media is opening an office in Birmingham and has hired former Transparent TV chief Jazz Gowans as its co-creative director.
Gowans will head up the new office working alongside CEO Cat Lewis and will also develop her programme ideas through the Nine Lives banner.
She was CEO of Transparent, which became part of Argonon Group in 2013, from 2005 to 2019 and has worked on shows including A Very British Brothel for Channel 4, Face To Face for ITV, and Botched Up Bodies for C5, which was later picked up by Netflix.
Gowans said: “I’m fiercely passionate about increasing production opportunities in the West Midlands, as well as the UK’s other regions and nations, and am hugely excited by the opportunity to work with Cat and Mike Lewis who share these same values.”
Lewis added: “Jazz joining Nine Lives marks a new era for the company and we know we will benefit enormously from her expertise as we build on the success we’ve enjoyed since our launch in 2007.”
