BBCS alum Tracy Forsyth joins headhunters Indigo in exec coaching role
TBI’s coaching & wellbeing correspondent Tracy Forsyth has been hired by global recruitment firm Indigo Talent to assist TV execs starting new roles.
Former BBC Studios exec Forsyth will deliver “onboarding coaching” as part of Indigo’s search service, allowing new recruits to adapt more quickly to their new roles.
Forsyth is a board advisor to multiple companies including Channel 4’s Indie Growth Fund and director of mentoring at Women in Film and TV (WFTV), and previously worked at UKTV and BBCS, leaving the latter in 2018 to join WFTV.
Indigo’s founder & managing partner Jude Thompson, said: “This is a strategically important move for us as experience shows that during the first 100 days of a new role, structured coaching increases the speed of a new leader’s adaptation and diminishes possible challenges to joining a new culture.
“We are delighted that Tracy Forsyth who is a pioneering consultant in this field within the creative industries will be heading up this area of leadership development for our clients, strengthening our position in the global market.”
Forsyth added: “In a volatile and increasingly uncertain, complex world, it is more important than ever for senior executives to feel clear and confident about their own leadership skills as they start a new role and have the space to create a strategy on how to deliver world class leadership, effectiveness and impact for the company.
“Onboarding coaching involves creating a confidential sounding board for leaders to clarify what they want to achieve and how they want to do that when they enter a new company, rather than becoming overwhelmed by that company’s culture.”
