Discovery+ in India preps Vice Studios wrestling docuseries
Discovery+ in India has unveiled a new investigative docuseries that explores the Indian sport of dangal.
Dangals of Crime – The Untold Truth About Indian Wrestling is from Vice Studios Production and directed by Niyantha Shekar.
The two-parter explores the deep-rooted akhada culture, strict discipline and devotion required of champion wrestlers, with contributions from former coaches and wrestlers, including Satbir Singh, Virender Kumar, Anil Mann and Ramphal Mann. The docuseries also explores the sport’s darker side, with interviews from law enforcement officials.
