Netflix returns to ‘The Crown’ producer for Spanish-set robbery drama
Netflix is returning to The Crown producer Left Bank Pictures for its latest UK drama, this time an eight-parter exploring the ramifications of a robbery.
Palamino tracks the story of a UK teacher who finds herself caught up in a supermarket robbery in Spain. Her life then unravels after one of the robbers claims to recognise her.
The show will start shooting later this year and has Strikeback’s Jack Lothian attached as writer, show runner and exec producer.
Iram Haq is lead director with Nuala O’Leary series producer, with Left Bank’s Andy Harries and Rob Bullock among exec producers.
The drama marks the fourth order from Netflix for Sony Pictures Television-owned Left Bank, joining The Crown, Ibiza-based White Lines and Behind Her Eyes.
