Big Media hires Star Contents, TV Azteca alum to lead Lat Am & US Hispanic

US-based distributor Big Media has hired the president of Star Contents as head of Latin America & US Hispanic.

Juan Antonio Fernandez reports into the company’s president, Danny Wilk, and will be responsible for managing the sales and distribution strategy throughout the Lat Am region and US Hispanic market.

Fernandez was most recently heading up Star, which is the US-based distribution arm of production company 11:11 Films & TV, where his remit included strategic business initiatives and day-to-day worldwide operations.

Prior to that, Fernández had stints at RCTV International, Dori Media and TV Azteca.
