Netflix’s UK-based VP of scripted Anne Mensah has ordered a three-part erotic thriller from Gaumont and Moonage Pictures.
Damage will star Richard Armitage (The Hobbit) and Charlie Murphy (Peaky Blinders) as two lovers involved in a dangerous love triangle.
It is based on Josephine Hart’s novella of the same name and tracks Murphy’s character as she juggles relationships with her fiancé and his father.
Writers are Morgan Lloyd-Malcolm and Benji Walters, with Glenn Leyburn and Lisa Barros D’Sa directing. The series is produced by Gina Carter. Moonage’s Matthew Read and Frith Tiplady, and Gaumont’s Alison Jackson are executive producers.
