‘Pam & Tommy’ firm Annapurna’s chief content officer Sue Naegle steps down
Sue Naegle is stepping down as chief content officer at US-based TV & film producer Annapurna, whose recent slate includes Disney+ show Pam & Tommy.
Naegle joined the company in 2016 to launch the Megan Ellison-led outfit’s TV arm, which is also behind HBO Max’s upcoming drama The Staircase and Apple TV+ scripted series The Changeling.
Annapurna is also behind Amazon’s adaptation of the David Cronenberg feature film Dead Ringers, which has Rachel Weisz attached to star and executive produce.
Naegle had joined Annapurna in 2013 after leaving HBO, where she had been president of entertainment.
She then launched prodco Naegle Ink, which had a deal with HBO, before moving to the Pam & Tommy prodco to launch Annapurna Television three years later.
Naegle, who is now expected to focus on producing, was upped to chief content officer in 2019 but will not be replaced at Annapurna. The company’s co-heads of TV, Ali Krug and Patrick Chu, will take on her remit while Christina Oh and Adam Paulsen will continue to run film. Deadline broke the news.
