Love Nature orders duo from Icon & NHNZ, unveils conservation support scheme
Streaming and broadcast brand Love Nature has ordered two wildlife series as part of an initiative designed to support the people and animals involved in conservation efforts.
Love Nature Gives Back will provide financial donations and media support to assist the conservation of wild animal species and habitats, as well as the people working in conservation organisations, featured in its programming.
Shows to be involved in the scheme include new commission Wild Dogs: Running With The Pack (6 x 30 minutes), which is being produced by UK-based Icon Films. It features the journey of wildlife filmmaker Julz Braatvedt on his mission to film and protect African wild dogs with the Zambian Carnivore Program.
Love Nature Gives Back has created custom promotional content for the Zambian Carnivore Program, while a free license for local broadcaster ZNBC has also been made available so viewers can watch select episodes.
Becoming Orangutan (3 x 60 minutes) is from NHNZ Worldwide and tracks animals living at the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOSF) as they learn how to make it in the wild. Support from Love Nature’s new scheme includes the creation of a short fundraising film for BOSF.
Both titles will premiere on Love Nature’s platforms around the world this summer and on Sky Nature later this year. The duo are also being sold by Blue Ant International and will be available at MIPTV next week.
Alison Barrat, SVP of production & development at Love Nature, described the shows as “prime examples of Love Nature’s mission to create captivating new series for our audiences, and they are a perfect fit for our Love Nature Gives Back initiative.”
She added: “Love Nature Gives Back was born out of the need to connect more meaningfully with our content and to give back to organisations who are dedicated to conserving wildlife.”
