ABC Signature head of current exits after three decades
Stephanie Leifer, EVP and head of current programming at ABC Signature, and one of Disney-owned ABC’s longest-serving execs, is exiting the company after almost three decades.
Leifer has held her current position since 2010, overseeing current series for ABC Signature and its predecessor ABC Studios, including shows such as Grey’s Anatomy at ABC and The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers at Disney+.
She has served a combined 28 years at the studio, which she joined in 2006, and at ABC, where she first started in 1994. Leifer spent 12 years at ABC, beginning as an assistant in the movie of the week department before rising the ladder as an executive in current programming, drama development and comedy development.
During her time at ABC, she has worked across other hit shows, such as Lost, Ugly Betty and Private Practice.
Leifer’s exit was first reported by US trade Deadline.
