HBO developing Game Of Thrones sequel around Jon Snow character

HBO is in early development on a sequel to Game Of Thrones, which is set to centre on Kit Harington’s Jon Snow character.

The show is set to feature Harington, who is attached, and would pick up on Snow’s exile from Westeros and journey to North of the Wall, which were his final acts in the original show that ended in 2020.

It is not the first programme to be spun off from the hugely popular GoT franchise, but it would be the first sequel.

There are six other shows related to the GoT universe in development – ranging from live-action prequel 10,000 Ships to animated series The Golden Empire – while the upcoming House Of The Dragon prequel series is set to debut on 21 August.
