Berlanti Prods hires Warner Bros. TV’s EVP of drama development as president
Berlanti Productions has named Warner Bros. Television’s drama exec Leigh London Redman as its president.
She replaces David Madden, who stepped down earlier this year and yesterday was named head of global entertainment at Wattpad Webtoon Studios.
Redman was most recently EVP of drama development at Warner Bros. Television, where she worked on Berlanti shows such as The Flight Attendant for HBO Max, as well as Argentinean drama format remake The Cleaning Lady for Fox.
Before that, Redman was EVP of scripted at Warner Horizon TV, which was moved into Warner Bros TV in 2020.
She will now take oversight of Berlanti shows including HBO Max duo Green Lantern and Dead Boy Detectives, reporting into Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter. The company has enjoyed a prolific spell over recent years, with series ranging from Netflix’s You that debuted in 2018 for Netflix and The Flash for The CW among its output.
Berlanti and Schechter said: “We have had the great fortune to work with Leigh throughout her tenure at Warner Brothers Television and Warner Horizon. Leigh was instrumental in developing You and The Flight Attendant among many others. She is smart, talented, kind and respected by talent and executives alike.”
London Redman added: “Sarah and Greg have a keen understanding of how to make content that contributes to the cultural conversation in a meaningful way while simultaneously being highly entertaining.”
