Hulu preps spicy dating competition show from All3’s Bright Spot
Hulu is preparing to launch a new dating competition series that sees couples battling to create thir best dishes while eating “incredibly spicy food”.
The show is from All3Media-backed Bright Spot Content, the US prodco founded by former Discovery Studios head Sandy Varo Jarrell, and will launch 16 August.
All 10 x 30-minute episodes will premiere exclusively on Hulu, with the show based in food trucks in the desert. Each episode sees two pairs of singles making a meal while facing spicy food challenges as they bid to win a cash prize.
Comedian Jade Catta-Preta is attached to host and will judge dishes, with the winning couple handed a second date worth $2,500. Alternatively, they can split the cash and walk away.
Bright Spot has previously been behind Bakers Dozen and Candified for Disney-owned Hulu.
