Canal+ Group appoints exec for literary adaptation push
France’s Canal+ Group has appointed Audrey Brugère as director literary adaptations.
Beginning her new role on 1 September, Brugère will be responsible for working on collaborations between parent company Vivendi’s publishing house Editis and its subsidiaries StudioCanal and Canal+. She will report to StudioCanal MD Anna Marsh.
Brugère first joined the Canal+ Group in 2009 and was promoted to her current role as director of the program units for foreign and youth series in 2020. Prior roles include as director of the Canal+ Youth Center and director of offers and communication within distribution.
“Increasing the adaptation of successful literary works into films, series or documentaries is one of StudioCanal’s ambitions for the coming years, as evidenced by the creation of this position,” commented Marsh.
“Audrey’s experience within the Canal+ Group, as well as her knowledge of our businesses, will be invaluable in achieving this.”
