Netflix adapts Korea’s ‘Parasyte’ & confirms Studio Lambert, Raw TV reality format
Netflix is ramping up its Korean output with a new horror series and has confirmed a survival reality commission from Studio Lambert and Raw TV.
: The Grey is being adapted from Hitoshi Iwaaki’s eponymous manga comic and has Hellbound’s Yeon Sang-ho attached to direct and write.
The live-action series, which is being produced by Climax Studio and Wow Point, follows a group of people fighting against a parasite that feeds on humans.
Format foray
The streamer has also expanded unscripted efforts, this time with reality show Edge Of Paradise (working title) that will track two sets of contestants living in a villa and a nearby wilderness camp.
Those living in the villa at the end of the show will then vie for a cash prize.
The commission will again bring together Netflix with All3Media’s Studio Lambert, with whom the streamer produced The Circle. Raw TV, the prodco behind fellow Netflix hit Tinder Swindler, is also attached as coproducer.
