ITVS Global Entertainment rehires Talpa exec as VP licensing
UK-based ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVSGE) has rehired Talpa exec Milan Vollebregt as VP of licensing.
In his new role, Vollebregt will represent the company’s format catalogue, and returns to ITVSGE where he spent a stint as license manager for emerging markets between January 2020 and August 2021.
During that time, he was responsible for ITV Studios’ linear and digital format sales in the emerging markets cluster, working closely with channels to locally license international formats.
He rejoins ITVSGE from Dutch prodco Talpa Entertainment Productions, where he spent a year as senior sales manager, joining in September 2021. Vollebregt also worked for Talpa Media for more than four years between 2015 and 2020, prior to his first stint at ITVSGE.
The then John De Mol-led Talpa Media was acquired by ITV Studios in 2015, with De Mol then forming Talpa Network in 2017.
Vollebregt held a number of roles at Talpa Media during his time there, including license manager for emerging markets, license manager programmatic, new business executive and initially as a producer. Before Talpa, Vollebregt co-founded Voke Productions in the Netherlands in 2014.
Vollebregt commented on social media: After a year of helping to build the fundamentals of Talpa, I’m rejoining ITV Studios Global Entertainment as VP Licensing. Excited to represent ITV’s extensive format catalogue, again.”
Earlier this year, ITVSGE promoted Arjan Pomper to become divisional MD, following the departure of former division president Maarten Meijs, who became CEO of Talpa in October 2021.
ITVS has a catalogue of close to 300 formats, including longstanding hits such as The Voice, Love Island, The Chase, I Am A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Come Dine With Me, alongside newer titles like Rat In The Kitchen, Sitting On A Fortune and Walk The Line.
