UK factual indie Blink Films appoints creative director
UK factual indie Blink Films has promoted Laura Jones to the role of creative director.
In her new role as a member of Blink’s senior editorial team, Jones will be responsible for winning further business and executive producing projects, with a particular focus on building the company’s slate of access-driven international series.
Jones joined Blink Films as an executive producer in 2021 and has since originated and executive produced series including Miriam And Alan: Lost in Scotland for Channel 4; Ken And Barbie Killers: The Lost Murder Tapes for Discovery+ and ID; feature documentary Secrets Of The Oligarch Wives for CBS and Paramount+; and Tut’s Toxic Tomb for Channel 4, National Geographic and Science Channel.
Prior to joining Blink, Jones co-founded Antidote Productions, where she was responsible for originating and executive producing Professor Green: Suicide and Me and Olly Alexander: Growing up Gay for the BBC and What Makes a Woman for Channel 4.
Justine Kershaw and Dan Chambers, co-Founders of Blink Films, said: “Laura is an outstanding producer and great creative force. Since she arrived, she has created and overseen multiple high-profile series, with more to come.
“As we build on our expanding slate and international client base, with orders from Discovery+, Hulu, CBS, Paramount + alongside Channel 4, Smithsonian and National Geographic and more in pre-production, promoting Laura to Creative Director will help us keep this momentum going.”
