‘Black Snow’ prodco Goalpost hires Sky, Sonar & Screen Queensland alum
Australia’s Goalpost Pictures has landed the former Screen Queensland CEO as its new CEO.
Kylie Munnich takes up the role following three years at the state funding body, which she left this summer.
She takes up her new role at Goalpost in November and will oversee the film and TV producer’s slate, which includes Stan and Sundance Now’s Black Snow, as well as Amazon Prime Video movie Five Blind Dates.
Munnich has worked in TV for more than three decades, taking up her role at Screen Queensland in 2019.
She had previously had stints at Seven Studios and was SVP of AsiaPac distribution at Taboo prodco Sonar Entertainment, having spent five years in the UK as director of drama and comedy at distributor Sky Vision, before it was folded into NBCUniversal’s sales operation.
Other roles included SVP of Sony Pictures Television in the UK, Ireland and Africa, having held a similar position in Australia for the company.
Goalpost partners, Rosemary Blight, Kylie du Fresne and Ben Grant, said: “With her incredible business acumen and international and Australian experience at the highest level in scripted content and production, Kylie will make a powerful addition to the Goalpost team.”
Munnich added: “The partners at Goalpost have demonstrated the power of storytelling through exceptional feature films and TV drama. I look forward to helping to elevate the company even further.”
