Abacus Media Rights hires Flame exec to heat up North American sales
UK-based distributor Abacus Media Rights has appointed Flame Media exec Anne Corsak as sales director for North America.
Corsak has spent the past five years as SVP of content sales, responsible for North America and global digital strategy at Australia- and UK-based factual and documentary distributor Flame.
Abacus is owned by Amcomri Entertainment, which acquired Flame earlier this year. The deal expanded Abacus’s TV library offering to more than 4,000 hours of programming, including Outback Truckers, Outback Opal Hunters and Life In Colour With David Attenborough.
Prior to her time at Flame, Corsak was VP of international sales, acquisitions executive – VOD for New York-based independent production and distribution company Janson Media, from 2012 to 2017, and before that served as VP of sales and marketing for production and distribution company Global Telemedia.
Abacus MD Jonathan Ford said: “We are delighted to welcome Anne as Abacus Media Rights’ first in-house sales director for North America.
“As AMR’s portfolio of programming across all genres continues to grow, we need a dedicated in-house executive and it will be invaluable to have Anne on board, not only with her experience across the Flame library of programming but also with her experience and long-standing relationships, working solely for us in this important territory.”
