A+E Networks to shop ‘Miss Scarlet & The Duke’
A+E Networks Global Content Sales has acquired distribution rights to seasons 2 and 3 of Miss Scarlet And The Duke in markets excluding the US, UK & Ireland, English-speaking Canada, Africa and Benelux.
Season three of the detective-drama, set in 19thcentury London, is set to premiere in the United States on Masterpiece on PBS, in January 2023.
“A+E Networks is thrilled to be the global distributor of Miss Scarlet and the Duke, the series that launched our thriving international scripted co-production business,” said Patrick Vien, Group MD, A+E International.

Beyond Rights extends Crackit partnership
Beyond Rights has extended its partnership with unscripted indie Crackit Productions, acquiring five new titles to bring to MIPCOM.
Key to a Fortune (6 x 60), produced for Channel 4, is a new wish fulfilment show, hosted by Jean Johansson, that surprises unsuspecting members of the public with huge, life changing windfalls.
The other new acquisitions are all travel-themed and sit within Crackit’s long-standing “Go Horribly Wrong” franchise. Comprising five new hours produced for Channel 5, When Luxury Holidays Go Horribly Wrong (2 x 60-minutes), When Luxury Cruises Go Horribly Wrong (1 x 60-minutes), When Day Trips Go Horribly Wrong (1 x 60-minutes) and When Hotel Holidays Go Horribly Wrong (1 x 60-minutes).
Each title is narrated by actor Glynis Barber and features first-hand interviews and user-generated content from people whose holidays or day trips ended in disaster, with expert commentary from travel presenters and respected travel journalist and broadcaster Simon Calder.
Epic Story Media brings new animation
Canada’s Epic Story Media has started production on animated series Mia & Codie and a second season of Luna, Chip and Inkie: Adventure Rangers Go, with sales for both launching at the upcoming MIPJr market.
Knowledge Network has commissioned a second season of pre-school series Luna, Chip and Inkie: Adventure Rangers Go (28 x 11-minutes, plus 1 x 22-minute special) – produced by Epic Story Media, which also manages global sales and licensing on the show.
Meanwhile, Epic Story Media’s preschool coding comedy series, Mia & Codie (40 x 4.5-minutes), has been commissioned by TVO, Knowledge Network and TFO. Epic Story Media will produce with Relish Studios in Vancouver leading on animation.
