Harbour Rights inks distribution deal with 2B Media
Hong Kong based Harbour Rights has entered into an exclusive distribution partnership with New Zealand prodco 2B Media.
The agreement will see Harbour distribute the 150+ hours of factual and documentary content created by the Martin Cleave-led firm, including titles such as Code 1 Extreme (30 x 30-minutes) and Living With Tourettes (18 x 26-minutes). 2B Media is also behind a large offering of hunting and fishing titles.
Projects in development, including Vets Unleashed (13 x 26-minutes) and My New Brain (10 x 52-minutes) also fall under the partnership, which covers co-development of concepts and stories based in the APAC region but with an international audience in mind.
Teremoana Seguin, MD of Harbour Rights, said: “We are excited to add such a large catalogue to our existing offer as it covers genres in high demand with our international clients both in Asia and Europe. With most shows originally produced in English and a storytelling style appealing to English speaking markets, we are confident this catalogue will find an audience in North America as well.”
Martin Cleave added: “As the distribution landscape has changed dramatically over the last twenty years, and given we have had wonderful partnerships in the past with Fremantle, TCB Media, Zodiac and Banijay, this reset with Harbour Rights is very exciting, and we look forward to a long term partnership creating local content in Australasia collectively and collaboratively.”
