Prime Video & Viaplay travel to ‘Planet Sex With Cara Delevingne’
Prime Video Canada and Nordic streamer Viaplay are among a slew of broadcasters and platforms to strike pre-sale deals with Fremantle for new docuseries Planet Sex With Cara Delevingne.
The series, from Fremantle’s Naked Television and Cara Delevingne’s Milkshake Productions, is set to launch in over 92 territories worldwide, also including on RTL (Germany), Teva Group M6 (France), Vodafone (Greece), RTL (Hungary), YesDBS (Israel), Channel HOT8 (Israel), TV3 Group (Latvia), CANAL+ Poland (Poland), Showmax (South Africa), SBS (Australia), BluTV (Turkey) and PCCW (Hong Kong, Macao). NHK has also come onboard as co-producer of the series in Japan.
The six-part series, jointly commissioned by Hulu and the BBC, is set to launch later this year, with Simon Andreae, Cara Delevingne, Kate Dart and Fiona Caldwell exec producing.
It follows Delevingne, one of the world’s most photographed people and an LGBTQ+ icon, as she approaches the major questions surrounding human sexuality; visiting communities who view and experience gender and sexuality in hugely contrasting ways and helping people to tell their own unique stories. She also shares her own personal experiences and puts her mind and body on the line to explore the forces that shape our desires.
Jens Richter, CEO, International, Fremantle said: “As is evident in the name, Planet Sex With Cara Delevingne is a globally relevant series that asks important and provocative questions around human sexuality, that we haven’t seen on screen before.”
