NBCUniversal hires Turner exec to work across alternative entertainment
NBCUniversal (NBCU) has landed Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) exec Jenny Ramirez to work across its unscripted output.
Ramirez becomes SVP of entertainment & unscripted at NBCU Television and Streaming, with a remit across reality, talent and gameshows for Peacock, NBC, USA Network and E!.
She will report into Corie Henson, who left WBD earlier this year to replace Jenny Groom as EVP of entertainment unscripted.
Ramirez was most recently SVP of unscripted at TBS, TNT and TruTV, which have seen both programming and staff cuts as WBD seeks to find $3bn in savings.
She had been with the company for six years, with credits on shows such as Wipeout and Rat In The Kitchen. Prior to that, she worked at Irwin Entertainment and Fremantle.
