PBS Distribution hires Curiosity Stream & Discovery alum for content partnerships
PBS has hired a former VP of programming at Curiosity Stream to work across its distribution operations.
Devin Cheema becomes director of content partnerships at PBS Distribution, having previously spent almost six years at US-based streamer Curiosity Stream.
She joined in 2015 as SVP of operations before moving up two years later to become head of business & legal affairs and VP of programming at the John Hendricks-founded factual streamer.
Before that, Cheema had spent five years at Experius and almost a decade with Discovery, initially working at Discovery Communications before moving to become VP of content management & operations at Discovery Education. Both Experius and Discovery were founded by Hendrick.
Most recently, Cheema had been senior counsel at Fox-owned streamer, Tubi.
PBS Distribution operates streaming services and linear strands, as well as housing PBS International, the co-production and distribution arm that is behind shows including Miss Scarlet And The Duke, The Magpie Murders and Ken Burns’ The US And The Holocaust.
