CBS promotes Eric Kim to EVP of current programmes following restructuring

Paramount-owned CBS has appointed Eric Kim to become EVP of current programmes for the network and its Studios division.

Kim will report into Amy Reisenbach, who recently became president of CBS Entertainment, and David Stapf, who was similarly upped to become president of CBS Studios.

Kim’s promotion, which follows a rejig at the Paramount-owned firm that saw both Reisenbach and Stapf upped, will hand him oversight of current primetime and daytime programming on the network and for the studio.

The exec joined CBS in 2011 and has worked on both comedy and drama series, including Blue Bloods, FBI: Most Wanted and CSI.

Prior to that, he worked in live action series for Nickelodeon and Teen Nick from 2009-2011. He was also VP of current programming at The CW from 2006-2009.

Reisenbach said: “I’ve worked closely with Eric for over a decade and have always been impressed with his incredible programming instincts, skill in working with showrunners on our biggest hit shows and strong relationships throughout the creative community.

“He is a proven, smart executive whose leadership and input will be vital to the success of our series.”
