Antenna hires former HBO Europe boss as group CEO
European media outfit Antenna Group has appointed former HBO Europe boss Linda Jensen as group CEO.
She joins following the departure of of Bert Habets to ProSiebenSat.1 and has taken responsibility for the group’s portfolio media assets, including free and pay-TV channels such as Greek network ANT1, and is tasked with identifying new markets and technologies to help the company expand.
“I am pleased to welcome Linda to Antenna Group. Her substantial experience and unique track record will significantly contribute to our growth strategy,” said Antenna Group chairman Theodore Kyriakou.
Jensen was CEO of HBO Europe from 2012 to 2015, where she pioneered its move into local language programming, launching titles including Agnieszka Holland’s Czech language original Burning Bush and the documentary The World According To Ion B.
In 2021, she was hired by UK prodco Envision Entertainment to launch an investment arm to seek out and acquire local IP with international potential.
She previously served as the president of MTV Russia and director of development for CME (Central European Media Enterprises) and has worked in licensing and acquisition, asset disposal, new product and country launches, and programming acquisition and production.
