Zinc Media hires Uplands TV & BBC Studios exec to lead production

UK-based Zinc Media Group has hired former Uplands and BBC Studios production head, Nick Todd.

The exec becomes head of production for Zinc Television and will work across factual, responsible for overseeing operations and productions – both long-running series as well as new commissions – across the company’s TV labels based in London and Manchester.

He will work alongside MD Tanya Shaw and joins having held the same role at Uplands TV. Prior to that, Todd was head of production for BBCS’s Factual Entertainment & Events team, where he was responsible for all productions and operations.

His remit includes oversight of Putin And The West prodco Brook Lapping, Supercollider, which was behind Red Bull TV doc Space Jump; and factual and formats firm, Red Sauce.

He will reports into Shaw and takes up his role immediately.
