Conquistadors: The Rise And Fall

Abacus Media Rights (AMR) and Night Train Media (NTM) have launched pre-sales on a new factual series that tracks how the Conquistadors expanded across the Americas.

Conquistadors: The Rise And Fall is in production by Dash Pictures and NTM, with the show exploring how the Spanish conquest of the Americas that began in 1492 saw the fall of the Aztec and Inca civilisations, as well as the deaths of millions of indigenous people through oppression, enslavement and disease.

The 6 x 60-minute series is being filmed in Spain and South America, with dramatic reconstructions directed by Daniel Sharp. Analysis from historians and experts from the Americas and Spain has also been attached.

AMR, which has global distribution rights in association with NTM, is taking the show to buyers at Realscreen and Content Americas this week.
