Keshet Int’l makes first natural history acquisitions ahead of London TV Screenings

Keshet International (KI) has made its first acquisitions deal for natural history content ahead of the London TV Screenings.

The multi-title deal with Matila Röhr Productions (MRP) includes Tale Of The Sleeping Giants (Tunturin Tarina), which is from screenwriter Antti Tuuri and explores the mythology of ancient Scandinavians told in the form of a nature movie.

The package also includes the two earlier features in MRP’s trilogy of natural history features: Tale Of A Forest (2013);  Tale Of A Lake (2016); and Nature Symphony (2019).

KI has also acquired the tape and format rights to Undercover: Sexual Harassment – The Truth, which is from Kalel Productions and aired on Channel 4. The show uses hidden-camera experiments to expose the sexual harassment of women in the real world and online.

Anke Stoll, KI’s SVP of acquisitions & co-productions, said: “We are in the process of expanding our catalogue, so I’m thrilled to be partnering with MRP on our first acquisitions deal for natural history content. We are looking forward to working with them to leverage their incredible archive of footage to produce new titles for a growing market of buyers of blue-chip natural history content.”

KI’s scripted slate at London TV Screenings is headlined by Kuma Studios’ A Body That Works (Goof Shlishi), which will receive an exclusive buyers’ screening ahead of its international premiere at Series Mania 2023.

The eight-part relationship drama was ordered by Keshet Broadcasting’s Karni Ziv and forms part of its recently announced slate of dramas.
