News round-up: Juggernaut to adapt Muskan Sethi story; Bavaria to spread ‘Chaos’; Dare Pictures names chair
Juggernaut to adapt Muskan Sethi story
IN10 Media Network’s production house, Juggernaut Productions, has acquired the rights to tell the life story of Indian professional poker player Muskan Sethi.
Born in New Delhi, Sethi found poker at a young age through her father who watched poker games. The turning point for her career was when she won a contest that got her a seat with some of the greatest poker professionals playing for $1m on a UK national TV show.
Samar Khan, CEO of Juggernaut Productions said, “At Juggernaut Productions, we have always emphasised telling stories that are path-breaking and have strong women characters. For us, Muskan’s story has immense merit, and through this endeavour, we hope to break the notions about the game. It is a sport and not just a game of luck.”
Bavaria to spread ‘Chaos’
Germany’s Bavaria Media International has picked up drama series Chaos for global distribution, following a deal with Quebecor Content.
Produced for TVA by Quebec’s Amalga and Keep It Simple, the series follows ten excited teenagers with VIP passes to attend a concert by their idol INVO, a once-in-a-lifetime event they’ve been looking forward to for months. However, a tragic explosion at the event changes their lives forever.
Based on an original concept by Josélito Michaud and directed by Stéphan Beaudoin, the 10 x 45-minute thriller aired on TVA in Canada in late 2021.
“We see great international demand for young adult and suspense stories pertaining to relevant and engaging topics in our times. Thus, Chaos has huge potential in the market. We are thrilled to start our successful cooperation with Quebecor and to offer this gripping series to our buyers”, said Helge Köhnen, head of content sales, Bavaria Media.

The new chair is a social entrepreneur and the founder of Pjoys: PJ’s with Purpose and co-founder of purpose-led youth business Livity.
“Throughout her outstanding career, Michelle has been an entrepreneur who combines commercial nous, with a sense of purpose, an appetite for disruption, creativity, innovation and a leadership style characterised by kindness.
