STV Studios snags Good Girls Die Last rights
Elizabeth Is Missing producer STV Studios has secured TV rights for Natali Simmonds’ debut thriller, Good Girls Die Last.
The deal was struck via Emily Hayward Whitlock at The Artists Partnership working in association with Amanda Preston at LBA Literary Agency.
Good Girls Die Last, which will be published by Headline in June, is a darkly comic, feminist thriller, telling the story of a woman who is in a race against the clock to escape a gridlocked London while a serial killer stalks the streets.
It will be developed by STV Studios’ head of drama development, Claire Armspach, and creative director of drama, Sarah Brown.
Armoza preps Bingo for MIPTV
ITV Studios-owned Armoza Formats has launched studio gameshow format based around the game of bingo that uses CGI.
Bingo Blitz offers a “technological hub” that allows a simple set to turn into a shiny floor format, which sees two participants playing across seven rounds as they answer trivia questions in just 60 seconds.
For every correct answer, a number is drawn from the huge bingo machine that increases the cash prize. If you score a bingo, the player takes home all the cash.
The fornat is from Armoza and TV technology company Gamechanger. The duo worked together on the launch of Family Piggy Bank, which has already aired 100 episodes in Portugal on RTP1.
