Fremantle’s Danish prodco Blu names Katrine Herforth to replace Anne Brostrøm as CEO
Fremantle-owned Danish producer Blu has appointed Katrine Herforth as its new CEO.
Herforth was most recently head of programmes at Blu and had been interim CEO since December, following the exit of Anne Brostrøm, who had led the production firm since 2014.
Prior to joining Blu, Herforth worked as a commissioning editor at local networks TV3 and TV2, as well as being head of programming at Discovery.
She was also head of entertainment at Monday Media and led programming locally for Warner.
Georgette Schlick, CEO at Fremantle Northern Europe, said: “[Herforth] has a long and successful career in the TV industry, and her background and character fits very well with the Fremantle culture. Her experience and expertise as well as her management skills is a perfect match for Blu.”
Herforth added that she was “proud and humble” to take the role permanently.
