Betty TV hires Bandicoot’s Emma Read-Wilson as head of production
Bandicoot’s recently departed head of production, Emma Read-Wilson, has joined UK prodco Betty TV in the same role.
Read-Wilson starts in May and will work across the company’s slate, which includes Discovery’s Wheeler Dealers, the Canard co-production Fred’s Last Resort for E4, and Channel 4’s Naked Education.
Prior to Bandicoot, Read Wilson had been a production executive at Objective Media Group, the All3Media-owned division that houses Betty TV.
In that role, she worked across production and development for the group’s entertainment and factual entertainment labels, looking after shows such as The Cube, Lingo, Flirty Dancing and Gordon, Gino & Fred’s Road Trip.
She has also held roles at Shine and ITV in the UK, as well as spending six years in Australia at Fremantle and Shine Australia.
Betty TV’s joint creative directors, Helen Cooke and David Harrison, said: “Emma’s expertise and attention to detail is going to be invaluable to Betty TV’s long-standing heritage of producing shows that challenge perceptions and drive conversation.”
Read-Wilson’s exit was revealed last week by The Masked Singer UK producer Bandicoot TV, which subsequently hired former Youngest Media and Thames Television execs to bolster its production and development team.
