Peacock orders ‘Love Island’ spin-off with returning cross-franchise contestants
NBCUniversal streamer Peacock has ordered Love Island Games, the first-ever spin-off from reality dating series Love Island.
Expected to debut in Fall 2023, the series will bring together cross-franchise fan-favorite contestants from the US, UK, Australia and other versions of the format to give them a second chance at love.
In this new iteration, romance will meet reality as Islanders are faced with both team and couples’ challenges, all while navigating dating, eliminations, recoupling and dramatic new arrivals.
The first season of Love Island Games will premiere shortly after Peacock’s upcoming fifth season of Love Island USA.
Love Island Games is being produced by ITV Entertainment, with David George, Adam Sher, Simon Thomas, Andy Cadman and Ben Thursby-Palmer attached as the executive producers, alongside Tom Gould, Richard Cowles, Mike Spencer, Richard Foster and Chet Fenster.
The series is based on a format owned by Lifted Entertainment and GroupM Motion Entertainment and distributed by ITV Studios.
