Fifth Season trims staff with eight lay-offs, hitting production, marketing & creative
CJ ENM-owned Fifth Season is trimming its workforce by laying off eight staff members.
Those exiting include Shelby White, director of TV creative, and Danielle Gerber, VP of physical production, along with SVP of marketing Beth McPhee and SVP of communications Sharon Liggins.
TV creative manager Kyle Plimpton, director of film creative Ryan Bernstein, travel manager Josh Workman and Jennifer Saull, counsel for TV business and legal affairs, are also departing.
The exits amount to around 2% of company staff at the CJ ENM=owned prodco, which rebranded from Endeavour Content last year.
Its output includes drama Severance and food show Omnivore, both for Apple TV+, as well as director Ramin Bahrani’s feature documentary 2nd Chance.
It emerged last week that Fifth Season’s SVP of documentaries Kevin Iwashina would also be stepping down, after acknowledging that he had caused “discomfort” to others.
