Amazon Prime Video in Japan is remaking South Korean relationship format EXchange.
The series, in which one-time couples move into a house together and try to forge a new relationship by undertaking a series of tasks, will be titled Love Transit in Japan, where it will debut on 15 June.
EXchange originally launched on CJ ENM’s OTT service TVING in Korea in 2021, where it was the most popular entertainment programme on the service.
“We are confident that the EXchange format will capture the hearts of the Japanese viewers. While staying true to the essence of the original format, Love Transit incorporates elements that will appeal to the local market,” said CJ ENM’s SVP of content business, Jangho Seo, who called Korean entertainment shows “ the next big trend.”
